As a Locum MD or DO in Pathology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing diseases and providing insights that inform patient care. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of medical services delivered by our partner facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret laboratory results
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Conduct pathology consultations and provide expert opinions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in pathology and medical practices
- Participate in case discussions and provide guidance to clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Provide training and mentorship to junior medical staff as needed
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Pathology or equivalent
- 3-5 years of clinical experience in pathology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Indiana
Shifts: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Schedule: 2 weeks of coverage every 6 weeks
No call requirement
Surgical pathology skillset required
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
