Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic tests and examinations to determine patient conditions
  • Interpret laboratory results and provide recommendations
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in the development and implementation of pathology protocols
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Provide consultations on pathology-related matters
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in pathology
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements in medical practices

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Current medical license to practice in the state
  • Experience in pathology or related medical field preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical software and electronic health records
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Call: Weeknights (5p-8a) and weekends (24-hour)

Skills Required: Frozen sections, reading clinically on the floor, cytopathology adequacies, and grossing of surgical specimens

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
