In this position, you will be involved in diagnosing diseases through laboratory tests, overseeing laboratory operations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic testing and analyze laboratory results
- Interpret test results and communicate findings to healthcare teams
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
- Collaborate with medical staff to provide comprehensive patient care
- Oversee laboratory operations and quality assurance processes
- Participate in case discussions and contribute to clinical decision-making
- Stay current with advancements in pathology and laboratory medicine
- Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel as needed
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with a specialization in Pathology
- Associate-level experience in a clinical or laboratory setting
- Strong understanding of laboratory processes and diagnostic testing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Current medical license to practice in Florida
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
No call shifts
Daily Volume: 30-35 cases
Must be board-certified
