We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD or DO specializing in Pediatric Anesthesiology.  In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing anesthesia care to pediatric patients undergoing various surgical procedures. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the safety and comfort of young patients throughout their medical treatments. As a Locum Pediatric Anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia to pediatric patients, monitoring their vital signs during procedures, and managing post-operative pain. Your role is essential in maintaining a high standard of care and ensuring positive outcomes for young patients. 

Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Monitor and adjust anesthesia levels to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Assess patients' medical history and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
  • Manage post-operative pain and provide appropriate pain relief interventions.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Participate in emergency response situations and provide critical care as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of anesthesia procedures.
  • Stay updated on advancements in pediatric anesthesia practices and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with specialization in Anesthesiology.
  • Board certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in pediatric anesthesia in a clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and medications for pediatric patients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Level I pediatric trauma center

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts

No call or weekends

Daily Volume: 10 patients

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
