 This contract position offers a unique opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide exceptional pediatric care while working within a dynamic staffing and recruiting environment.

As a Locum MD/DO in Pediatrics, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality medical services to children in our care. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being of young patients, ensuring they receive the necessary attention and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care to patients of all ages
• Conduct thorough examinations and assessments
• Diagnose and treat common pediatric conditions
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Respond to emergencies and urgent medical situations
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Current state medical license to practice in California
• Board certification in Pediatrics is preferred
• Experience in a pediatric practice setting
• Strong clinical skills and patient management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing compassionate care to children and their families

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a), 6-7 days per month

Delivery Volume: 30 per month

Duties: Well-newborn exam upon delivery, follow-up with any additional needs until discharge, discharge exam, and attendance at delivery if requested

Support Staff: Nurses, OB tech, lactation consultants

Must be board-certified
