We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD or DO specializing in Pediatrics As a Locum Medical Doctor, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services to our clients. Your expertise in Pediatrics will be vital in ensuring the well-being of young patients and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare projects. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations of pediatric patients and accurately diagnose their conditions.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for children with various medical needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on preventive healthcare measures and treatment options.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records of all pediatric cases.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric medicine and incorporate best practices into clinical work.
- Adhere to all relevant medical protocols, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Provide guidance and support to junior medical staff and interns.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Pediatrics.
- Valid license to practice as a Medical Doctor or Osteopathic Doctor.
- Prior experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in pediatrics.
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for interacting with patients and their families.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate medical records.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of pediatric medicine.
Schedule: 24-hour call, 8a-8a
Daily Volume: 3-4 newborns, 0-1 pediatrics
Patient Population: 90% newborn, 5% pediatric, 5% adolescent
Circumcisions required
Must be able to interpret x-rays
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
