We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Muncie. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being and recovery of patients, while also contributing to the success of our healthcare staffing solutions. Projects will involve working closely with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

As a Locum MD or DO in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by utilizing your medical knowledge and skills to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with various physical disabilities and injuries. This role is essential in maintaining the continuity of care for patients and supporting the overall healthcare system. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies to address patients' needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide patient education on managing conditions and promoting overall wellness.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
  • Participate in regular meetings and case conferences to discuss patient cases.
  • Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in medical practice.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Muncie.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Willingness to collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.

Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 8a-4:30p

No call shifts required

Daily Census: 12 patients

16-bed Acute Rehab Unit

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
