We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD or DO specializing in Psychiatry . As a Locum Medical Doctor, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services to our clients. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being of patients and contributing to the success of various healthcare projects. Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Prescribe medication and monitor its effectiveness.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Offer crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings.
• Stay informed about advancements in the field of psychiatry.

Requirements:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Psychiatry.
• Valid state medical license to practice as a Psychiatrist.
• Proven experience working in psychiatric settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Empathy and compassion towards patients.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts

24-hour call required

Duties: Routine, urgent, and emergent mental health care, suicide prevention and crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, and discharge planning and reentry coordination

Paid travel & expenses
