We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Radiology In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating patients using various imaging techniques, ensuring accurate and timely medical care. You will be involved in a variety of projects, working closely with healthcare facilities to deliver high-quality radiology services.
As a Locum MD or DO in Radiology, your role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare services. Your contributions will directly impact patient outcomes and satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging tests such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
- Consulting with other physicians to provide insights on radiologic findings.
- Ensuring the accuracy and quality of imaging procedures.
- Communicating effectively with patients to explain procedures and results.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to determine the best course of treatment.
- Keeping abreast of advancements in radiology technology and practices.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations during imaging procedures.
- Documenting patient information and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Radiology.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
- Proven experience working as a Radiologist in a clinical setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic interpretations.
- Proficiency in using radiology equipment and software.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 1 week per month
Setting: Remote
Case Volume: 60-80 reads per hour to start, ~400 total per day
Outpatient plain film cases
Secondary read, no dictation or report signing
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
