As a Locum MD/DO in Radiology, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient care and the efficient operation of our healthcare partners.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures and interpret results accurately
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Document patient information and imaging findings in medical records
- Stay updated on advancements in radiological technology and practices
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff and students as needed
- Maintain effective communication with patients and their families regarding procedures and outcomes
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Current medical license to practice in the state of Kentucky
- Experience in radiology with a focus on diagnostic imaging techniques
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education
- Prior experience in a locum tenens role is a plus
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 1-2 weeks per month
Daily Volume: ~14-16 procedures
80% IR, 20% DX
CT-guided and US-guided procedures
Will read CT and PF during downtime
Support Staff: Midlevels
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
