We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to healthcare facilities in Bloomington. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating patients through various imaging techniques, ensuring accurate and timely medical care. As a Locum MD or DO in Radiology , you will be involved in a wide range of projects, including interpreting diagnostic images, consulting with other healthcare professionals, and performing interventional procedures. Your role is essential in supporting the healthcare system by delivering high-quality radiological services and improving patient well-being. Responsibilities:

  • Interpret diagnostic imaging studies such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to determine appropriate radiological procedures for patients.
  • Perform interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, drainages, and angiography.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of radiological findings to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and quality assurance standards in the radiology department.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to radiologic technologists and other support staff.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of radiological practice.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Radiology or eligible for board certification.
  • Valid state medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
  • Strong knowledge of radiological imaging techniques and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and medical colleagues.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in diagnostic interpretations.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of Radiology.

Schedule: 8a-5p, specific dates

Call Requirement: 5p-7a

Cases: Nuclear DX or vascular IR

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
