We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Radiology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Thomasville. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating patients through various imaging techniques, ensuring accurate and timely medical care. Responsibilities:
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging tests such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
- Collaborating with other physicians and healthcare professionals to determine the best course of treatment for patients.
- Ensuring the accuracy and quality of radiology reports and maintaining patient records.
- Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines when operating radiology equipment.
- Providing guidance and support to medical staff and patients regarding radiological procedures.
- Staying current with advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and ethical practices in radiology.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Radiology or eligibility for board certification.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Radiologist in Thomasville.
- Strong knowledge of radiology procedures, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in interpreting diagnostic images and reports.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2-3 weeks per month
Weeknight and weekend call shifts required
Daily Volume: 8-14 procedures
Procedures: GI bleeds, biopsies, PCNLs, bread and butter
Support Staff: APPs
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
