We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Radiology  In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to healthcare facilities in need. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating patients through various imaging techniques, ensuring accurate and timely medical care. As a Locum MD or DO in Radiology, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, including interpreting diagnostic images, consulting with other healthcare professionals, and performing interventional procedures. Your role is essential in supporting healthcare facilities during staff shortages and peak demand periods. Responsibilities:

  • Interpret diagnostic imaging studies such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to determine the best course of treatment for patients.
  • Perform interventional radiology procedures under guidance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of radiology findings.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in healthcare.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in radiology technology and practices.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to radiologic technologists and other support staff.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Radiology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice in Texas.
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting a variety of diagnostic imaging studies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Attention to detail and excellent analytical abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different work settings and schedules.

Level I trauma

Schedule: 9p-6a

Setting: Remote or onsite

Full range of emergency imaging studies, including neuroradiology, across all modalities such as CT, MRI, and US

Will supervise minor procedures

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
