We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Radiology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Zion. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions through the use of imaging techniques, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse medical cases and contribute significantly to the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging tests such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to determine the best course of treatment for patients.
- Ensuring the accuracy and quality of radiology reports and patient records.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines when operating imaging equipment.
- Communicating effectively with patients to explain procedures and results in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Staying current with advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of patient care.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Radiology.
- Valid state medical license to practice in Zion.
- Proven experience working as a Radiologist in a clinical setting.
- Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
Shift Information: 7:30a-5:00p
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Daily Volume: 100 patient studies between the entire team
Modalities: CT, MRI, PET, and general X-ray. Mammo and Breast BX's preferred
EMR: Epic
PACS: Merge
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
