We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Radiology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to healthcare facilities in need. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating patients through various imaging techniques, ensuring accurate and timely medical care. As a Locum MD or DO in Radiology, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse medical cases, contribute to patient outcomes, and make a difference in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging tests such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to determine the best course of treatment for patients.
  • Providing accurate and timely radiology reports to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures.
  • Staying up-to-date with advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
  • Adhering to all medical and ethical standards in patient care.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records of all procedures and patient interactions.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Radiology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting a variety of imaging studies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic procedures and reporting.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of Radiology.

Flexible Schedule: 8-hour shifts

Preferred Procedures: Myelograms/lumbar punctures, barium swallow/UGI/BE, and pediatric intussusception reduction

EMR: Meditech

PACS: Centricity

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
