Description
As a Locum Sleep Medicine Physician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders, collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. This role is vital in enhancing patient care and ensuring effective management of sleep-related health issues.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with sleep disorders
- Diagnose sleep-related conditions and recommend appropriate treatments
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in sleep medicine
- Educate patients and their families about sleep health and treatments
- Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with healthcare regulations
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Sleep Medicine preferred
- Experience in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders
- Strong clinical skills and patient management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Current medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts
- Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the practice
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
Setting: Outpatient clinic
Patient Volume: 10-13 per day
Patient Population: 90% adult, 10% pediatric
Cases: OSA, insomnia, hypersomnia, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, nighttime leg cramps, circadian sleep disorders, parasomnias, bruxism, and snoring
Support Staff: Additional MDs, APP, MA, schedulers, technicians, etc.

Must be board-certified
