As a Trauma Surgeon, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality surgical care to patients with traumatic injuries. You will work alongside a skilled medical team, ensuring that our surgical practices meet the highest standards. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform surgical procedures for trauma patients effectively and efficiently
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Document all patient interactions and surgical outcomes accurately
  • Participate in emergency surgeries as required
  • Stay updated with the latest surgical techniques and advancements

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Current board certification in Trauma Surgery
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina
  • Prior experience in trauma surgery preferred
  • Strong surgical skills and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement

Schedule: 12 or 24-hour shifts

Patient Volume: 35 per day, split between providers

Must be proficient with tube thoracostomy, central venous catheter placement, and arterial line placement

Support Staff: Surgeons, APPs, and residents

EMR: Cerner PowerChart

Must be board-certified
