Responsibilities:

  • Performing trauma surgeries on patients with critical injuries.
  • Assessing patients' conditions and determining appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participating in rounds, consultations, and medical conferences.
  • Documenting patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
  • Adhering to medical protocols, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families.
  • Responding to medical emergencies and providing timely interventions.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Trauma Surgery or relevant specialty.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Proven experience in performing trauma surgeries in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make quick decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care and documentation.

Schedule: 24-hour weekend call (Friday-Monday), specific dates

General surgery and trauma surgery cases

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
