As a Locum Urologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care while working in a dynamic staffing and recruiting environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive urological care to patients
  • Conduct examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
  • Perform urological procedures and surgeries as required
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Participate in ongoing medical education and training
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Active medical license in the state of practice
  • Completion of a residency in Urology
  • Associate-level experience in a clinical setting
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement

Schedule: 8a-4p in clinic

Call Shifts: 1:6 rotation, weekdays (5p-8a) and weekends (24-hour)

Patient Volume: 20-25 per day

Surgical Volume: 20-30 per month

General urology care in clinic and on call

Rounding required

Procedures: Cystoscopies, vasectomies, prostate biopsies, TURPs, uroflow/cuffs, bladder scans, ureteroscopies, nephrectomies, Cystectomies, ESWLs, botox injections, etc. 

Robotics available

Support Staff: 2 RNs, MA, surgery scheduler, and 2 front office staff

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
