We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum MD/DO (Medical Doctor/Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Pathology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients. Your expertise in pathology will be essential in diagnosing diseases and contributing to patient care. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of medical cases and make a significant impact on healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing diagnostic tests on patient samples to identify diseases.
  • Analyzing and interpreting laboratory results to provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to determine the best course of treatment.
  • Documenting findings and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Staying updated on the latest advancements and technologies in the field of pathology.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to medical staff and students.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in Pathology.
  • Licensure to practice medicine in the designated location.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic procedures.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Experience working with laboratory equipment and technology.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Rotating call, every 4 weeks

Case Volume: 25-30 sign-outs per day

Preferred Experience: Frozen sections, fine needle aspiration biopsies, ROSE

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
