We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum MD/DO (Medical Doctor/Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Pathology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients. Your expertise in pathology will be essential in diagnosing diseases and contributing to patient care. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of medical cases and make a significant impact on healthcare outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Performing diagnostic tests on patient samples to identify diseases.
- Analyzing and interpreting laboratory results to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to determine the best course of treatment.
- Documenting findings and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Staying updated on the latest advancements and technologies in the field of pathology.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to medical staff and students.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in Pathology.
- Licensure to practice medicine in the designated location.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic procedures.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Experience working with laboratory equipment and technology.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Rotating call, every 4 weeks
Case Volume: 25-30 sign-outs per day
Preferred Experience: Frozen sections, fine needle aspiration biopsies, ROSE
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
