Description

As a Locum MD/DO, you will play a crucial role in delivering urgent care services, assessing patient needs, diagnosing conditions, and implementing treatment plans. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure that all patients receive timely and effective care, enhancing the overall efficiency of our urgent care operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical evaluations and treatment for urgent care patients
• Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret diagnostic tests
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Document patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in patient education and health promotion activities
• Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards within the urgent care setting
• Manage patient flow and prioritize care based on urgency
• Stay informed about current best practices in urgent care medicine

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Active medical license in the state of New York
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in urgent care or emergency medicine
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS

Schedule: 10a-10p

No call requirement

Will rotate shifts between three sites

Patient Population: Up to 26 years old

Additional MD seeing adult patients

Must be board-certified
