As a Locum NP in Anesthesiology, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by administering anesthesia and monitoring patients during surgical procedures. Your expertise will not only contribute to the safety and comfort of patients but also support healthcare facilities in maintaining optimal staffing levels. 

Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes during anesthesia
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and consultations
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluate patient recovery
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate records
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families about procedures and care plans

Requirements

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license with specialization in Anesthesiology
  • Experience in administering anesthesia in a clinical setting
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care
  • Previous locum experience is preferred but not required

Schedule: Monday-Thursday (8a-5p) and Friday (8a-12p)

Setting: Outpatient clinic

Daily Volume: 18-20 patients

Duties: New patients, follow-ups, and medication management

Cases: Chronic pain patients or patients looking for interventional pain management injections

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
