Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring optimal outcomes for patients in need of acute medical attention. As a Locum NP in Critical Care, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging cases, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and make a significant impact on patient well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in critical condition.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
- Participate in patient rounds, case conferences, and team meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely.
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in Critical Care.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to make critical decisions in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Capability to collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts
Patient Volume: 20 per day
Facility: 28-bed medical-surgical ICU, 14-bed CVICU
Required Procedures: Central and arterial lines, intubations, and vent management
Support Staff: MDs, APPs, and residents
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
