As a Locum NP in Critical Care, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging cases, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and make a significant impact on patient well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in critical condition.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
  • Participate in patient rounds, case conferences, and team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and timely.

Requirements:

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in Critical Care.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to make critical decisions in emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Capability to collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts

Patient Volume: 20 per day

Facility: 28-bed medical-surgical ICU, 14-bed CVICU

Required Procedures: Central and arterial lines, intubations, and vent management

Support Staff: MDs, APPs, and residents

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
