As a Locum NP, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive medical services to patients. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
• Document patient care activities accurately in medical records
• Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing or related field
• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice
• Experience in a hospitalist setting or internal medicine preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules

Shifts: 7a-7p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a

Schedule: 7 on/7 off

Nightly Volume: ~15 admits, 2-3 calls per hour

Duties: Evaluate and handle new admissions, EKG reviews for possible STEMIs, some critical care coverage, etc.

No procedures required

Support Staff: Hospitalist MD on backup call, APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
