As a Locum NP/PA in Critical Care, you will play a crucial role in delivering patient-centered care, assisting in the management of critically ill patients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of critically ill patients
- Implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures as needed
- Educate patients and families about health management and treatment options
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or related field
- Current NP or PA certification and state licensure
- Experience in critical care or emergency medicine preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 6:30p-6:30a, 7 on/7 off
No call shifts required
Patient Volume: 28 per shift
Required Procedures: Arterial lines, intubations, central lines, vent management
ECMO and GME experience preferred
Support Staff: APPs, MD on call
Must be board-certified
