This contract position is on-site and provides an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced medical practice environment where patient care and quality are paramount.
In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality critical care services, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to the care of patients in critical condition, playing a vital role in their recovery and overall health management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in critical care settings
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and perform necessary procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and response to treatment
- Provide patient and family education on health management
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or related field
- Current NP or PA license in the state of Virginia
- Experience in critical care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Schedule: Tuesday-Sunday, 7a-4p
- No call requirement
Setting: Intermediate care unit (IMCU)
Patient Census: 8-12 per day
Primarily post-op CTS patients, with some pre-op management
Support Staff: APP
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
