This contract position is an on-site role that offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced medical environment.
As a key member of our Critical Care team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient assessments, managing acute health issues, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. This role is vital in enhancing our service quality and directly contributes to improving patient care standards within our medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations in a critical care setting
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the medical team
- Monitor and manage patients' conditions and responses to treatments
- Provide patient education and support to families and caregivers
- Assist with procedures and interventions as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or relevant field
- Current NP or PA licensure in the state of practice
- Experience in critical care or acute care settings is preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
Schedule: 7p-7a, 7 on/7 off
Patient Census: 10-15 per day
Mixed medical/surgical ICU population
Will participate in code blue calls and rapid responses
Required Procedures: Central venous catheter placement and peripheral arterial line placement
Must be board-certified
