This contract position requires on-site work and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a critical care environment, supporting patients with acute medical conditions.
As a Locum NP or PA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced critical care setting. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring the highest standards of medical care are met.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in critical care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate records
- Participate in rounds and contribute to treatment discussions
- Stay current with best practices and developments in critical care
Requirements
- Active NP or PA license in the state of Florida
- Experience in critical care or acute care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
Patient Volume: 6-10 per day
Required Procedures: Central and arterial lines, intubations, and chest tubes
Support Staff: MD and APP
Must be board-certified
