As a Locum NP/PA in Emergency Medicine, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients experiencing urgent medical conditions. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients in emergency situations
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Administer medications and treatments as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Washington
- Experience in emergency medicine or acute care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
Schedule: 6p-3a, 10p-7a, or 7a-4p
Patient Census: 8-14 per day
Case Types: Mostly medical, low trauma, and medium-high acuity
Support Staff: RNs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
