Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients in emergency situations
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop treatment plans
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide patient education and counseling regarding health conditions
- Respond to medical emergencies with urgency and professionalism
- Stay updated on best practices and protocols in emergency medicine
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Previous experience in emergency medicine or acute care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical software and electronic health records
- Current CPR and BLS certifications
Schedule: 7a-7p, 2p-10p, or 7p-7a
No call requirement
Level III Trauma
Setting: Hospital and free-standing ED
Annual Volume: ~40,000 patients total
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
