This is a contract position that requires an on-site presence, offering a unique opportunity to deliver quality care in the medical field.
In this role, you will collaborate with our skilled oncology team to provide patient-centered care, conducting exams and implementing treatment plans for patients diagnosed with blood disorders and cancers. Your expertise will significantly contribute to our mission of enhancing patient outcomes and providing comprehensive oncology services in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Administer chemotherapy and other oncological treatments
- Monitor patient progress and manage side effects
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions
- Stay updated with advancements in oncology practices and treatment modalities
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license
- Experience in Hematology Oncology or Medical Oncology preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
- Basic proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 4-day workweek
No call requirement
Daily Volume: 13–15 patients
Duties: New hematology consults and follow-up oncology patients
Case Types: General oncology, including anemia and iron deficiency
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
