In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the neurosurgery department, working closely with physicians and other healthcare staff. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring patient safety, implementing treatment plans, and enhancing the overall quality of care. .
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
- Assist in surgical procedures and post-operative care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in case reviews and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- Current NP or PA licensure in the state of practice
- Experience in neurosurgery or a related field is preferred
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Schedule: Monday-Wednesday, 5:30p-6:30a
Daily Volume: 20-40 patients
Duties: Inpatient rounding for all ages
Will work with the Neurosurgeon
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
