This contract position is on-site, offering a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced orthopedic environment.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our orthopedic practice, working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients. Your expertise will contribute to surgical evaluations, post-operative care, and overall patient management, ensuring optimal outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
- Assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of orthopedic surgeons
- Manage post-operative care and follow-up for patients
- Develop and implement treatment plans for orthopedic conditions
- Provide patient education regarding their conditions and treatment options
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in continuous education and professional development
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license
- Experience in orthopedic surgery or related field preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Call Coverage: Tuesdays (7a-7p), 1:4 weekend rotation (Friday-Sunday, 7a-7p)
Duties: First call with physician on backup call
Required Skills: ED consults and triage, orthopedic surgeries, trauma, after-hours call, inpatient rounding, and discharging
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
