Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients' health status
  • Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Participate in patient care meetings and case discussions
  • Stay current with pediatric medical practices and guidelines

Requirements

  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license
  • Associate degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Experience in pediatric care preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
  • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus

Schedule: 8a-5p with callback after 5p, specific dates

Daily Volume: ~6-8 patients, ~3-4 admissions and discharges

Required Bedside Procedures: Neonatal resuscitation, PIV placement, arterial sticks, umbilical line placement, endotracheal intubation, needle thoracostomy, chest tube placement, lumbar puncture, etc.

No circumcisions required

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
