In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment to patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will help shape treatment plans and ensure continuity of care, playing a pivotal role in improving patient outcomes within our psychiatric services.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders
  • Prescribe medication and monitor patient responses
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling services as needed
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Monitor and manage the mental health needs of patients
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health issues

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Massachusetts
  • Prior experience in psychiatric care preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Knowledge of mental health assessment techniques
  • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Commitment to maintaining a compassionate and patient-centered approach

Schedule: 4–5 days/week (24 hours total)

Setting: Outpatient

Weekly Volume: 10-25 patients

Patient Population: Adults

Duties: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary PACT team on treatment planning

Case Types: Psychiatric disorders and high-acuity patients

EMR: CareLogic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible 

Additional Certifications: DEA and CSR
