 This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care in an on-site setting, contributing to the well-being of our patients in the community.

As a Locum NP in Psychiatry, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health disorders. Your expertise will help shape the delivery of care and improve patient outcomes, working closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide medication management and monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatments
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of psychiatric best practices
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the facility

Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner license with a focus on Psychiatry
• 1-3 years of experience in psychiatric care
• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices
• Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances

Schedule: 6 to 8-hour shifts, 3-4 days per week

Rotating 24-hour beeper call

Setting: Onsite, inpatient rounding required

Daily Volume: 15 patients

20 psychiatric beds

Cases: Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, etc.

Support Staff: MD, NPs, RNs, social workers

EMR: HCS

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
