As a Locum NP in Psychiatry, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health disorders. Your expertise will help shape the delivery of care and improve patient outcomes, working closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. 
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations
 - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
 - Provide medication management and monitoring
 - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
 - Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatments
 - Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
 - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of psychiatric best practices
 - Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the facility
 
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner license with a focus on Psychiatry
 - 1-3 years of experience in psychiatric care
 - Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
 - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
 - Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
 - Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices
 - Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances
 
Schedule: 6 to 8-hour shifts, 3-4 days per week
Rotating 24-hour beeper call
Setting: Onsite, inpatient rounding required
Daily Volume: 15 patients
20 psychiatric beds
Cases: Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, etc.
Support Staff: MD, NPs, RNs, social workers
EMR: HCS
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
