Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and formulate diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage medications for psychiatric conditions.
  • Provide counseling and psychoeducation to patients and their families.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions.
  • Document patient care accurately and maintain medical records.
  • Participate in case conferences and treatment team meetings.
  • Stay updated on current trends and best practices in psychiatric care.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry.
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
  • Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
  • Experience in providing psychiatric care to patients across the lifespan.
  • Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p

No call requirement

Setting: Outpatient

Patient Census: 12 per day

Must be board-certified
