Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Cardiology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality patient care and support to our cardiology department. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cardiology projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. This position is vital in maintaining the standard of care and service excellence that our company is known for in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of cardiology patients.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Monitor and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
• Provide patient education on cardiovascular health and disease prevention.
• Participate in rounds, case conferences, and team meetings.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• Valid NP or PA license in the state of practice.
• Certification in Cardiology or relevant specialty.
• Demonstrated experience in a cardiology setting.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular conditions, treatments, and medications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Schedule: 24-hour call coverage

Patient Volume: 25 per shift

Will see clinic patients, round on inpatients, and serve as first assist in the CVOR

Support Staff: CT surgeon

EMR: eCW

Must be board-certified
