Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons in cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures
• Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments of patients
• Manage post-operative care and monitor patient recovery
• Collaborate with surgical teams to develop patient care plans
• Provide education and support to patients and their families
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards
• Document patient information accurately and timely
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions

Requirements

• Current NP or PA license in the state of practice
• Experience in cardiothoracic or vascular surgery preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed

Schedule: 7a-5p, specific dates

Weeknight and weekend call shifts available

Setting: ICU, PCU, and OR

Annual Volume: 450-500 hearts

First assist and vein harvesting required

Team Structure: 2 surgeons, 4 PAs, 1 NP

Vein Harvesting System: Vasoview Hemopro 2

EMR: Meditech, eCW

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
