Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessments and treatments for critically ill patients
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Perform necessary procedures and interventions as needed
- Educate patients and their families about critical care processes
- Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care support as required
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or related field (NP) or Physician Assistant program (PA)
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Experience in critical care or similar healthcare settings
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred
Schedule: 7p-7a
Setting: 20-bed ICU
Patient Volume: 2 admissions per night
Required Procedures: Central line placements and intubations
Support Staff: Attending physician on-call, full ancillary support
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
