In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in critical care settings. You will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional treatment and support to patients in need. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of care are met.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations in critical care settings
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patients' progress and respond to changes in their condition
- Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- Current NP or PA licensure in the state of practice
- Experience in critical care or a similar healthcare environment
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of current healthcare regulations and best practices
- Basic life support (BLS) certification; advanced certifications preferred
Schedule: 12-hour day and night shifts
No call
Patient Census: 16-20 per day
24-bed ICU
Required Procedures: Intubations, central lines, and arterial lines
Support Staff: Critical care physician in-house or on call
Board certification required
