We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Cardiology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality patient care and support in the field of cardiology. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cardiology projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services. This position is vital in ensuring the well-being of our patients and maintaining the high standards of care at our facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of cardiology patients.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results accurately.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Provide patient education on cardiovascular health and disease prevention.
  • Assist in cardiac procedures and surgeries as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.

Requirements:

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) license.
  • Specialization or experience in Cardiology.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular conditions, treatments, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Capability to make critical decisions and prioritize patient care.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7 days per week

Duties: Rounding, consults, procedures, etc.

Required Procedures: Arterial line placement, central line placement, cardioversion 

Support Staff: Hospitalists and cardiologists; pulmonary critical care and CV surgery support as needed

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
