We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Critical Care and Neurology In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality patient care in critical care and neurology settings. You will be involved in a variety of projects aimed at improving patient outcomes and delivering exceptional healthcare services. This position is vital to our organization's commitment to excellence in healthcare staffing and patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in critical care and neurology departments.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions and treatment plans.
- Assist in procedures and surgeries as needed.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) license.
- Specialization or experience in Critical Care and Neurology.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Level I trauma
Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts
No call shifts
Setting: Neuro ICU
Daily Volume: 10 patients, 5 consults
Patient Population: 100% adult, 40% trauma
Lab and x-ray onsite
Support Staff: Neurointensivists on call, APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
