Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Neurosurgery. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality patient care and support to our neurosurgery department. Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Assist in surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and protocols.
Requirements:
- Valid NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) license.
- Specialization or experience in Neurosurgery.
- Strong knowledge of neurosurgical procedures and treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and department priorities.

Schedule: 3x 12-hour shifts per week
No call
Patient Census: 2-5 per day
Preferred Procedures: JP drain removal
No OR or critical procedures
Support Staff: APPs, residents
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
