This contract position is on-site and offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our orthopedic team, providing high-quality medical care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Assist in orthopedic surgeries and procedures as required
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
- Stay current with best practices in orthopedic care and treatment
Requirements
- Valid NP or PA license in the state of practice
- Experience in orthopedic surgery or relevant clinical practice
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Flexibility to adapt to changing clinical situations
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 4 days per week
Call Requirement: 1:4 primary call rotation (Monday-Thursday) and 1-2 weekends of secondary call per month
Patient Volume: 15-20 per day
General orthopedic cases, including back pain, knees, hips, hands, injections, etc.
Will occasionally assist in the OR
EMR: Meditech Expanse
Board certification required
