We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Sleep Medicine  In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to patients with sleep disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in diagnosing, treating, and managing various sleep-related conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse cases and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.

As a Locum NP or PA in Sleep Medicine, you will be at the forefront of promoting healthy sleep patterns and improving the overall well-being of individuals. Your role will involve conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and educating patients on sleep hygiene practices. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with sleep disorders.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as polysomnography.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies for sleep-related conditions.
  • Provide patient education on sleep hygiene practices and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to sleep medicine.

Requirements:

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) license.
  • Specialization or certification in Sleep Medicine is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of common sleep disorders and their treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and treatment modalities.

Schedule: 8-hour day shifts

Setting: Outpatient clinic

Duties: Conduct initial assessments for new patients, manage follow-up care for stable patients, and interpret sleep study results

Support Staff: Sleep Medicine physicians

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
