Description
As a Locum NP/PA in Trauma Surgery, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical services to patients in need. You will collaborate closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for trauma patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment and management of trauma patients
- Perform physical examinations and obtain medical histories
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Collaborate with trauma surgeons and other healthcare staff
- Monitor and manage patient progress and outcomes
- Provide patient education and counseling
- Document patient care in accordance with legal and institutional policies
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- Current NP or PA license in the state of practice
- Experience in trauma or emergency medicine preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications
About the Opening:
Schedule: 8 or 12-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
Patient Volume: 10 per day
Cases: Trauma surgery first assist, critical care rounding
EMR: Meditech Expanse
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
