As a Locum NP/PA in Trauma Surgery, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical services to patients in need. You will collaborate closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for trauma patients. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assessment and management of trauma patients
  • Perform physical examinations and obtain medical histories
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Collaborate with trauma surgeons and other healthcare staff
  • Monitor and manage patient progress and outcomes
  • Provide patient education and counseling
  • Document patient care in accordance with legal and institutional policies

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
  • Current NP or PA license in the state of practice
  • Experience in trauma or emergency medicine preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications

About the Opening:

Schedule: 8 or 12-hour shifts, Monday-Friday

Patient Volume: 10 per day

Cases: Trauma surgery first assist, critical care rounding

EMR: Meditech Expanse

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Paid travel & expenses
