We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant)  In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing urgent care services to patients. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions promptly and efficiently. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging cases, making a significant impact on the well-being of individuals in need of immediate medical attention.

As a Locum NP or PA in urgent care, you will be an essential member of our healthcare team, ensuring that patients receive high-quality and timely medical care. Your role will involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals, performing medical procedures, prescribing medications, and educating patients on preventive healthcare measures. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you can enhance your clinical skills while contributing to the overall success of our urgent care facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial patient assessments and examinations
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for acute illnesses and injuries
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
  • Perform minor surgical procedures such as wound suturing and incision and drainage
  • Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and standards

Requirements:

  • Valid NP or PA license in the state of practice
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Demonstrated experience in urgent care or emergency medicine
  • Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a-8p) or Saturday/Sunday (8a-7p)

Patient Population: Aged 3+ months

EMR: Practice Velocity

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
