As a Locum PA in Emergency Medicine, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and treating patients, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency of the emergency department, enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
- Administer treatments and medications as directed by physicians
- Provide patient education and support to families
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop treatment plans
- Document patient care accurately and timely in medical records
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed
- Stay informed about current medical practices and protocols
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Physician Assistant studies
- Current PA license in the state of practice
- Experience in emergency medicine preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7a-7p
Annual Volume: 15k patients
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
